Define each controlled opening

Document reader locations, door contacts, request-to-exit devices and lock power supplies against a unique door reference. Confirm access groups and schedules with the authorised building representative.

Agree the cause-and-effect sequence

Review door-held-open and forced-door events with the operator. Any interface with fire alarm or emergency release arrangements requires coordination with the responsible specialists and the approved project design; it must never be assumed from a generic diagram.

Leave an auditable record

Record witnessed functional tests, operator training and configuration backup ownership. Agree who manages credentials, how access is revoked and how faults are reported. This article is not an installation or life-safety instruction.
